Date of Initiative: 22nd November 2024
Organized by: Sanskriti Adolescent Girls Group
Supported by: Suchetna Team
In the small village of Gaurikala , Kichha , the Sanskriti Adolescent Girls (AG) Group came together with a heart full of compassion and a shared desire to bring smiles to those in need. On 22nd November 2024, the group held a meeting where they collectively decided to undertake a community activity that would reflect their values of empathy and service.
Motivated by the struggles of children from extremely poor families, the 12 group members took the initiative to collect fresh and usable clothes from their own homes and nearby neighbours. Their humble collection included pants, shirts, kurtas, T-shirts, jeans, towels, and sweaters—essentials that could make a real difference in someone’s life, especially with the approaching winter.
With dedication and purpose, the group visited Subhash Nagar, a neighbouring village where families live in huts and thatched houses, often struggling to meet basic needs. On 5th December 2024, 16 AGs distributed these clothes to 20 poor children, bringing not just clothing, but joy, dignity, and hope.
The moment was heart-warming. The children’s faces lit up with joy as they received the clothes. Their parents expressed deep gratitude to the Sanskriti AG Group and to Suchetna and its staff, whose constant support and encouragement made this initiative possible.
This act of kindness, though simple, brought meaningful change to a small community. It showcased how young girls, when empowered and united, can lead with compassion and become beacons of positive change. The activity also strengthened the spirit of teamwork and community responsibility within the group.
‘A Gift of Kindness’ stands as a reminder that even small acts of giving can create a big impact, especially when driven by young hearts full of empathy.
